Jayson C. Jimenez teaches philosophy at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and the University of Santo Tomas. He received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Tasmania, Australia, where he examined the concepts of Nature and human exceptionalism in the Anthropocene through the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze. His current research focuses on Environmental Humanities, particularly the extinction and spectrality of non/human objects. In 2022, he won the prestigious Asia Study Grant from the National Library of Australia to work on the archives of Henry Otley Beyer.
