Dakila Kim Yee is currently a PhD student at the Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance, Faculty of Business Government and Law at the University of Canberra, Australia. His PhD research focuses on exploring discourses of sustainability transitions in energy and mobility in the Philippines under the populist regime of Rodrigo Duterte. His other research interests includeurban political ecology of disaster reconstruction in the Philippines after typhoon Haiyan, critical environmental conservation studies and state-civil society relationship on environmental issues in the Philippines. He has served as facilitator for extension programs and citizen assemblies with local communities and non-government organizations .
