Kendra is a Research Fellow at the Fenner School of Environment and Society of the Australian National University. Her work, funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery Project under Dr. Steven Lade, involves the development of an earth system impact metric for companies and investors. Kendra also maintains an Associate Professor appointment at the Dept. of Environmental Science at the Ateneo de Manila University.

She served as Director of the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability and Leadership Council Chair of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Philippines) in 2021-2024. Kendra is currently on the Joint Scientific Committee of the World Climate Research Programme as well as on the scientific steering group WCRP My Climate Risk (MCR) lighthouse activity. She collaborates with the MCR Hub based at the Ateneo. She is also a Steering Group member of the Progressing EW4All Oriented to Partnerships and Local Engagement (PEOPLE) Project of World Weather Research Programme.

Kendra's previous teaching experience spans the undergraduate and postgraduate levels across different programs (Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability Management and Science Education). She has led sub-teams in consortia / projects funded by the Erasmus+ Capacity-Building in Higher Education grants, and the International Development Research Centre, to name a few.

Research Interest

Kendra is an interdisciplinary scholar interested in earth system science and in applying a systems approach to sustainability and to climate and disaster resilience.
