Benedict Sheehy
Benedict Sheehy is a Professor of Law, Canberra Law School, University of Canberra, and International Visiting Professor, College of Law, University of the Philippines, Diliman. He is a member of the Council of the University of Canberra. His main areas of interest are corporate law and governance and the intersection of these areas of law with other institutions. His work includes comparative law with a focus on SE and East Asia. Professor Sheehy holds the following degrees: PhD (ANU), LLM (U Queensland), MA, (McMaster), JD (Windsor), MA (Wilfrid Laurier), BTh (Eastern PBC).
He has published over 100 scholarly contributions many with top global law publishers such as the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Michigan, California, Virginia, and Melbourne among others. In addition, he has published in cognate disciplines including economics, business and philosophy. He has been a reviewer for leading presses and successfully supervised many higher degree students to completion. He has worked in the private sector as a lawyer, business executive and consultant.
