Aletheia Kerygma B. Valenciano
Aletheia Kerygma B. Valenciano is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of the Philippines Diliman. She obtained her BA (Political Science) from the same university and her MA in International Politics from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs (SIRPA), Fudan University. She was a visiting fellow for SIRPA-Fudan's 2023 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Program and a visiting scholar in 2018 at the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), where she conducted fieldwork research in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangxi on China-ASEAN regional diplomacy. She is currently the managing editor of Asian Politics & Policy and a Fellow at Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders’ Program. Prior to joining the academe, she was a teaching assistant at SIRPA-Fudan and a researcher at several policy research institutes and think tanks. Her research interests include China-Southeast Asia relations, Chinese foreign policy, non-traditional security, regional security, and domestic politics and foreign policy nexus in international relations.
