Rowell de Guia is an educator and researcher specializing in computer-mediated communication and digital ethnography. He teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) and graduate courses in the Master’s in Language and Literature Education program at Bataan Peninsula State University. He holds a PhD in English Studies: Language from the University of the Philippines Diliman and an MA in Teaching English Language Arts from the Philippine Normal University, Manila. Active in the academic community, Rowell is a member of the American English (AE) Alumni Association – Philippines, where he serves on the Research and Publication Committee. He also spearheads various institutionally and internationally funded research and community extension projects.
