Mr
Neil Archie L. Garcia
Neil Archie L. Garcia is a Filipino educator, sociologist, and law student whose work bridges classrooms, communities, and causes. He currently works at the Department of Sociology of Mariano Marcos State University — the same institution where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Magna Cum Laude, in 2023, and received the Senator Imee R. Marcos Academic Excellence Award. Currently pursuing his Juris Doctor at the MMSU College of Law, he is a certified Level I and Level II Student Practitioner under the Supreme Court’s Clinical Legal Education Program. Through the MMSU Center for Legal Aid, Research and Advocacy, he provides supervised legal aid, public assistance, and community-based advocacy. His sociological interests in youth empowerment, leadership, and community participation are evident in his works — his undergraduate thesis, “Exploring the Community Engagements of Sirib Youth Leaders Scholars,” and his research role in Save the Children International’s Child Rights Situation Analysis in Ilocos Norte (2024). A pioneer member of Project Pagayam, a Philippine Youth Commission–registered organization promoting youth-led development and volunteerism, and an active member of the Municipal Youth Development Council of his hometown, he continues to use both sociology and law as tools for empowerment and meaningful change.
Youth participation and community engagement, program evaluation and social impact, contemporary social issues, and gender and development.
