CAROLINE DUQUE-PIÑON (YUYEN) Yuyen is a field practitioner with more than two decades of experience focusing on the intersection of social-ecological and sustainability issues. Her research interest is natural resources management spanning watershed and land-use, agroforestry, land tenure and property rights, gender and social inclusion, payments for ecosystem services, and social enterprise. Her methodological experience involves an integrated assessment and modelling approach to develop effective decision-support and monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems. Currently, Yuyen teaches courses on Human Ecology and Social Development Services at the College of Human Ecology, University of the Philippines Los Baños. Before joining UPLB, she served as an Associate Scientist on Natural Resources Management (NRM) at the World Agroforestry (Philippines). She holds a PhD in Environment and NRM from the Australian National University, a Master of Environmental Management from Flinders University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the University of the Philippines Manila. In her personal time, Yuyen enjoys agroforestry farming with Albert, Aliyanna, and Alika at the foothills of Mt. Banahaw in Liliw, Laguna.
