Dr. Acram A. Latiph serves as the Executive Director of the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) within the Mindanao State University (MSU) System, where he is also a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the MSU–Marawi Campus.

His academic foundation is extensive, featuring a PhD in Economics from the Australian National University, an MS in Finance from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and an Executive Master’s in Public Policy alongside an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School. A recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship and the Australian Leadership Awards, his research is deeply rooted in the development of the Bangsamoro region. He explores critical issues such as rural and fiscal policy, poverty, Islamic economics, and strategies for conflict resolution. Dr. Latiph frequently collaborates with international organizations, civil society groups, and government agencies, including the BARMM government, as a consultant and resource person.

He has been a key contributor to various regional development and post-conflict rehabilitation plans, focusing on the integration of economic policy with peacebuilding efforts to foster inclusive growth across Mindanao. His work remains dedicated to creating sustainable pathways for stability and prosperity within Mindanao.
