Relaunch of the Philippine Studies Group Seminar

Together with the ANU Philippines Institute, the Philippine Australian Association of the ACT hosted the relaunch of the Philippine Studies Group on the 16th of February 2024.

The inaugural seminar for the reconvened PSG showcases the work of a remarkable young Filipino researcher, Dr. Catherine Midel Deen, a newly-minted Ph.D. at ANU’s Research School of Management who is now a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales Canberra. Her presentation, titled 'My Way or the Highway: Clarifying and Demystifying Micromanagement', gave fascinating insights into the nature of this work behavior, its causes, and its consequences. Catherine shared the results of her dissertation study that won the highly prestigious 2023 Alvah Chapman Jr. Outstanding Dissertation in Leadership Award.
