Ma. Catriona Devanadera
Ma. Catriona E. Devanadera is an Associate Professor at the Department of Community and Environmental Resource Planning, College of Human, Ecology, University of the Philippines Los Baños. She took her BS Metallurgical Engineering, MS Environmental Engineering, and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman. For both MS and PHD studies, she is a recipient of the Department of Science and Technology - Engineering Research and Development for Technology (DOST-ERDT) scholarship. She has also conducted her dissertation in the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT University) in Melbourne, Australia supported by DOST Sandwich Program. She is also a recipient of the Orange Knowledge Platform (OKP) Fellowship in IHE-Delft, Netherlands last 2018. Dr. Devanadera’s research area of expertise is in the field of environmental engineering, specifically, biological wastewater, and membrane treatment systems. She also has research related to wetlands conservation and management, circular economy in wetlands management, nature-based solutions such as constructed wetland systems, and has conducted several climate and disaster risk assessments for municipalities in the Philippines. Dr. Devanadera is a Board of Trustees for the Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands Inc. and a member of the Society of Environmental Engineers of the Philippines
